Growing your own would be cheapest, then farmer's markets but make sure to ask if they use pestisides and their fertilizer types, then ussually the major grocers have an organic section, it may be small, but it's much cheaper than the local coops if you watch the sales fliers and jump from store to store. For meat, we buy grass fed cows... my neighbor and I go in together and split a quarter of a cow. The meat is excellent and per pound it's about $5 but you get a spectrum of meats from hamburger to filet mingon (expensive hamburger but inexpensive for the good cuts and the roasts are sooo good!!)...just put the name of your state and grass fed beef in your search engine and see what you find-same thing for finding the farmer's markets...

Farmer's Markets. You know those markets where small farmers set up produce to sell. It isn't chemically sprayed and grown organically. It is the best bet for anyone who is smart enough to ask questions like this and that is you!
