THERAPY! It sounds corny, but I have found therapy to be extremely helpful once you find the right therapist to guide you. Self-help books and therapy. I wish you the best. I know it's not easy.

You're asking how?
She needs to get out, move if she has to. It's just like breaking up but with many more strings attached.
I would suggest a group therapy session. While it may sound silly, it really can help. She needs to give herself time. Right now she needs her friends and family to be there for her.

have her talked to a counselor-sounds like she needs help, try talking to some good friend like you and may be have her listen to music or watch some comedy in the evening so she wont think of this horrible person. I hope she is safe -have her keep other people around her at all times for protection.

get a life .. go on dates ..if you cant do that just yet then, go out with friends. get a job, if you don't have one. then when you get ur first check go out and buy ur self something real nice that makes you feel sexy... if none of that works then just think of all the horrible mean things he said and did to you...
