Saturday we got a new puppy. Today, 3 days later, she woke up w/ red bumps on her face, red hands, feet, & legs; none on her stomach or chest and only a little bit on her lower back. She stayed at my mom's house today, who also has a dog, took some benadryl, and was fine. Tonight, at our house, she has broke out again. So... is she allergic to dogs? Or maybe just our dog? Is it possible to grow out of? What else could it be? I've haven't changed anything else.

I know when I was little I was allergic to cats. I couldnt be around one because my eyes would get all water and I would break out in hives. It sounds like your 1 year old has hives. You need to keep the benadryl around and keep giving that to her if she keeps breaking out. Talk to your doctor about this. He may be able to give you something to make this go away with your child. Lucky I grow out of it and hopefully your child will too. As for the puppy I would have your child stay away for a couple days and see it is really the puppy causing this recation. It could be a number of things so you cant jump to the conclusion that it is in fact that dog. She could have bed bugs or ate something that made her sick. Make sure you vist your doctor. Dont get ride of the puppy just yet. It may not in face be the puppy. If the bumps her worse make sure she sees someone. As for now All I can say if for a couple nighs have her/him stay at someones house a friend or family member who dosnt have a dog. If the bumps go away then it was the dog who macde her/him break out. Then you can go from there. But right now find out what it is by taking thgat prcation

Where did you get the new puppy? Could it have flees?

I am allergic to cats, but not dogs. There would be a lot more symptoms than just the bumps - stuffy nose, runny eyes, etc. It is possible for your child to be allergic to the shampoo used to wash the puppy. Give the puppy a bath, using Johnson's baby shampoo (hypo-allergenic).

If she was allergic to dogs, it would be all dogs. What type of dog is yours? What kind is your mom's? At times, long haired dogs can be more agrivating than short haired dogs. I would wash the puppy, and then see. If it continues, speak to a doctor.

i'd not hardship about the completed route table nutrients. The level 3 jar nutrients is designed for babies and some stay to inform the tale it longer than others. The yogurt is likewise strong on your infant to devour. attempt bland table nutrients before each and every thing which will be a lot less stressful to digest. I extremely have a virtually 2 3 hundred and sixty 5 days old granddaughter and a 7 3 hundred and sixty 5 days old grandson. He would not devour some thing . he's 40 2 lbs. She eats each and every thing is 25lbs. so as you will discover I extremely were at both ends of the spectrum . I extremely have talked to a number of docs as far as nutrients is going. they say that once a newborn is hungry they can help you already know. you'll get supplementations for babies that age and that would placed your husbands concepts to relax.

Sounds like the only parts with no bumps are the covered areas except alittle on her back. But then you might be holding her there when you pick her up and after petting the dog. Dog dander is dog dander. Some dogs like poodles shed less than other dogs though. Does your mom's house have different flooring that doesn't accumulate stuff, fur, chemicals. You should try to narrow it down then verify the allergy with your Dr. ask mom if she purposely kept her away from the dogs to heal. Then if not maybe check into floor cleaners, dust etc... but sounds like the dog, sorry!

I've heard of people being allergic to different types of dogs because of the kind of fur that they have. She could also be having a reaction if your dog has fleas or mites. I would definately get her tested by her pediatrition. He may refer you to an allergy doctor or dermatologist but he would be the best person to get you headed in the right direction. You may consider getting someone to pet-sit for you until you find out what is wrong.

Good luck!!

Could be allergies. Or it could be flees.
I would call the doctor and ask for an opinion there. I would wash the dog in the mean time and see if this changes anything.
My daughter had silent allergies to animals. Post nasel drip and other such signs. It caused other problems before her eyes and face started to break out at about 2.

I would take your child to the allergy doctor and have her tested and if she is allergic you may have to get rid of the dog and spray your whole house with febreze to get the fur and odor out of the House.

take her to a doctor to get an allegy test. They will rub a little spot of dog fur (or whatever is allergenic in dogs) on her skin and if it swells you can be 100% sure that the dog is causing it
