It depends on what water you use. either tap, bottled or other kids of water.It also depends on the soda you use. You can use Pepsi, sprite, Fanta you name it. It all depends on what you use, so all I have to say is you will get nasty tasting soda.

Your soda gets watered down. It's the exact same thing that happens when you have a soda with ice and all the ice melts.
