I don't. I drink slightly less than that.

Recently there was a study done (at least it was mentioned in the paper where I live) that the suggested 8 glasses is actually too much, which is just as bad as not drinking enough. The suggested count now is closer to 6 glasses.

That said, I've never noticed any of the health benefits that are supposedly linked to drinking the suggested amount of water (clear skin, weight loss, etc).

This recommendation assumes you get water from virtually no other sources. If you are eating alot of leafy watery greens and raw veggies and fruits (which you are supposed to be doing!) you really don't need 8 glasses. You just need abouot that much water in your diet overall. I say about because how much you need varies based on your metabolism and activity level. You need to replace the water your body uses up in normal processes and in perspiration, or even if you have been crying.

My trick is to replace my coffee cup at work with a water bottle that I refill at the office cooler. You might want to try something similar if you are having trouble getting all the water you need. But be careful, there is such thing as too much, though it is hard to do quiet honestly, but there is a limit!

I don't ..... But I hear it's good for you to drink that much every day. If I were to drink that much I'd be going to the restroom every 6 minutes. Maybe not, but I think it would be good for you to drink 8 glasses of water.

Me, no way. Healthy Living recommends 8 glasses but I find it impossible then you'd have to go to the washroom every minute. And I don't count how many glasses i drink, i dont no who does but im sure i didnt have 8.

I drink two Nalgenes full of water a day. A Nalgene holds a little more than 32 oz. Two of those is 64 oz. There are 8, 8 oz "glasses" of water in two Nalgenes. So, I guess I do. I *do* pee a lot. But, my skin is really clear. And I eat less because I'm always full of water!

anyone whos in Air Force basic training. They required us to drink 4 glasses of water before we could touch our food at each meal. It was to make sure everyone was hydrated in the texas heat. But since then I prefer 8 cans of soda a day. gotta love that caffine!

I try too I usually drink 5-8 a day. I used to drink none but I started to add flaver packets to my water, and that makes it easier to go down!

I do. Usually more than that actually. Eight 8oz. glasses of water is only 64 oz. (a half gallon). I have a 32 oz. water bottle that I sometimes fill as often as 5 times a day. It isn't that hard.

We all drink water during the day, but I am not sure I ever reach the recommended amount. If I did I would never eat and be even skinner.
