Date all they want, have sex and the 18 year old goes to jail.

The 18 year old is an adult and the 15 year old is a child.
It is legal for them to go out to any place that does not require either parental permission or presence. Some movies are for adults only, for example. Some places make it illegal for the minor to consume alcoholic beverages. Some places make it illegal to go across state lines.
It is not legal to have sex.
It may not be legal to engage in heavy petting.
If they are seriously involved, they should seek the advice of a family services lawyer. They can avoid major problems by knowing in advance what they can do. It is too late after they are caught up by the law.
;-D The 15 year old will probably get a scolding, but the 18 year old can go to jail. Of course if the 18 year old is the female, she would get probation.

I'm not sure, but when I was 24 I met a girl who was '19'...until I found out she lied about her age. She was actually 15. Woops. We married 3 years later....then divorced 2 years after that....grrr...she is a confused young lady.. Whats my point? I don't know. By the way...I am NOT a pedophile.

in alot of states ( if not all ) IF the parents of the 15 year old wanted to they could get the 18 year old on statutory rape charges. IF they have sex.

Depends on the state. Also depends on what you mean by going out. Dating, now one cares... Having sex is different. Most states it gonna be a Felony of Lewd and Lecivious at least and / or sexual battery upon a person under 16.

if they are public about it or if the cops find out that they are having sexual relationships the 18 yr. old will be arrested.

it's illegal to make love to them but it's not illegal to date them but only no making love.
