That's easy! Just tell her that you want to ask her out but still be friends if it doesn't work out between you the 2 of you. I mean seriously, if she is really your best friend than she should understand that. U never know before you try.

You just have to decide if ya wanna risk it. In high school, I wouldn't date my best friend. I was afraid if we broke up, things would never be the same. I wished years later that I had taken the risk. My advice if you decide to go ahead with it is to not make it a "date" date. Just ask her to go somewhere fun with you...the zoo, a picnic, out to dinner or something. Ask her on friendly outings more often and be sure to have some meaningful conversation. After some time, both of you should have a sense of what is going on and maybe she will develop some romantic feelings for you. Just don't rush things. I don't even know where my former best friend is now that we are older. I became great friends with another man and married him 3 years later. Being married to my best friend is awesome!!!

it all depends on how close you two are. i've had that happen to me and its kind of awkward, especially if i only see them as a friend. you want to know how she feelsright? so have one of your friends ask around. if looks like they have a thing for you, by all means, go for it. if you ask and they still no, dont worry about it too much. things will smooth over if yall really are friends. good luck! :D

Be direct. And honest. Remember that you are risking losing this friendship for a chance at love so be serious going into it. And for Pete's sake, be honest or it will all blow up in your face.

If you are honest and true, you will not lose any good friendship. Just ask her.
