My cat is almost two years old. Is a mix between an outdoor and indoor cat. Is up to date on all its shots. Lately, (the past two days) his eyes are looking weird. Like he is cross eyed. There is some sort of membrane in the corners of his eyes, the part closets to his nose, and that is making him look that way. He doesn't look like he can see because this stuff is in the way. I know it is normal stuff, I mean they are supposed to have it, just not out like that all the time. I am going to call the vet tomorrow, just wondering if you guys knew anything. Thanks.

If the cat is sick, what will the vet give it?

This is called the nictitans gland or third eyelid. It is usually tucked down below the bottom eyelid. When it's raised like what you are describing, it usually means your cat is not feeling well. Get him checked out

Not to scare you or anything, but because you said he is both an inside and outside cat, he might have gotten what you call cat aids. I got a cat from a shelter and her eyes were gross from the beginning, I was thinking well maybe she's just got a cold, well then a week later her belly swelled up and we took her to the vet to find out that she had cat aids. I would take him to the vet just to make sure, cause if he got into a fight with another cat and got scratched or bitten and that cat had it, then your cat most likely got it. Hopefully he just has a cold or something, I would take him to the vet asap. Maybe look it up on the internet for more info also

It sounds like the cat may have developed a cataract.
It's not totally uncommon. Or the cat may have injured it's eye. I would say a visit to the vet is in order. It could also be that he has conjuctivitis or a cold in his eyes. Conjuctivitus is cleared up with a topical cream that you rub onto the eye. You will need to keep the cat indoors while you are treating this as getting dirt and such in his eye will only further aggravate it.

All cats have the inner eyelids but I have heard this is more pronounced when a cat is sick

I think your best bet is just as you said "call the vet"
