I didn't know that Christians are afraid of the DaVinci Code. Everyone knows that it's all fiction.

I read and saw "The DaVinci Code.
Both are fiction why should we be afraid or threaten by the book or movie?
As a writer I can just picture in my mind why Dan Brown would write this story.
Although it is fiction there has to be some truth as far as it would go in the story so as to give credence to back ground and story line.
He did a lot of research on the subject and found some
truth about some secret societies involved to keep the truth in the love between Mary Magdalene and Jesus secret until such a date....
L. DaVinci was one of them that kept the secret about this love affair in codes and drawings, so these truths would not be lost.
The catholic church was involved too.
Read the preface and the page before for more such truth of Dan Browns book.
The movie tried to stay close to the story line of the book but you know Hollywood.
The book I would say is 65% truth.
The movie much less 45% truth.

It has these days come to my interest that I essentially seek for no longer something yet justice. the the remainder of this answer is focused solely on faith, no longer because of the fact I harbor any unwell-will in the direction of it yet because of the fact it complains lots. what's ironic, however, is that it hasn't made even a single concrete suggestion for progression or pointed out a single difficulty with the equipment because it exists immediately. enable me end via saying that i comprehend that what I easily have written in this answer will deliver many readers (particularly any who're huge followers of religion) right into a tizzy or a tantrum. i'm sorry, yet I remind them that some poxy adulterers are hopelessly tetchy.

Christians who are worried about the book should realize that they only need to wait then years and it will be forgotten. It has to be among the most poorly written book I've ever read. He takes his story and ends the chapter whenever their is a "cliffhanger" moment, so of course its a pageturner. Then he includes the majority of the controversial material in an ackward question and answer session in the middle of the book.

If anyone agrees please email me. So many people think this book is the best thing since sliced bread.

Its a threat because most people don't read the Bible and don't know what the truth is. A movie like this comes along and people think its true when it actually isn't.

unfortunatrly, too many people in this wrld think hollywood fiction is reality. i mean, come on when CNN sends a breaking news alert with the fact that britney and kevin are divorcing - what a sad state of the world.

as a Christian i'm mordified that someone can so blatantly spit in the face of my beliefs. just like when someone is stereotyped or biggorty is dished out - some of us won't stop and take it.

i am not afraid of the movie, i am concerned that such a movie will make new believers of the ideas/beliefs portrayed and deny that jesus is god.

christians are concerned what this movie will do for non believers, not afraid. in the end, god is the one who draws someone to himself and no nonsense movie will scare him away.

Because it is someting out of fantasy Island which is a complete distortion of Chistianity. Because it is so far out in left field I really don't know why any Christian would feel threatened by it.
