I seriously doubt that will happen. There are a lot of Volvo's in my area (DC Metro Area) but selling diesel is quite rare. You'd risk running out of fuel unless you get on an interstate to stop of at a truck stop. don't know about you but I'm not going to go fill up my Volvo out in some Poe Dunk Diesel station far from my home.

if or when they do i hope it has an actual Volvo diesel engine and not a gutless volkswagon parts gobbler [yes the turbo version was almost car-like on acceleration] but once these things blew head gaskets and the warped cylinder head had to be replaced they were headed for the junkyard , while i made a lot of money off of these back in the day, it never seemed very fair to the consumer.

I seriously doubt it there will be any here in states because to start with, some states are prohibiting diesel vehicles in the country like CA, so I would say they are not going to offer it.

I was talking to a dealer a few months ago and he said that they were still working on it, his guess was either 2008-2010. But as far as I know... its still a go!
