I just bought a set of hot curlers and i'm about to practice with them but do you have any tips/suggestions for getting small curls? Any tips at all will be helpful. I've never used them before. :) Thanks

For small curls you have to use the small rollers. Section your hair in clips. Use a rat tail comb. Comb the section (small) Spray w/ light setting spray, comb that through. Take the end of your hair, start on an end of the roller, then wind around up and if still excess of hair, then down on the roller. Use jumbo clips to hold the curl on. (not the metal ones) Do your test strand and take it out after about a minute. Some rollers are very hot and work super fast. After you have a bunch of curls, you can either gently move your fingers through each, or pick. Just play with them and experiment to get the look you want. You can add some smooth shine and or molding product to finish. Have fun!

The size of the curl depends on the size of the curler and the amount of hair you put on it. Small curler and less hair makes smaller curls. You can use mousse or hairspray before setting them to make them last longer.you should let them cool completely before taking them down. Have fun!

use the smallest rollers to create tight curls, however you may find that you do not have many with your set of hot curlers and therefore will be only able to do a section of your head at a time

Girlfriend recommends using large rollers from forehead to crown, medium at sides and back and small rollers around face to accentuate curls at the front

depending on the size of the curlers themselves. if you have different sizes and want small curls, id suggest that you use the smallest curlers..also depending on how many curlers you have, i would put more in your hair..you need to really roll the curlers in your hair tightly, they may still fall out, but you can re-roll them again..before you heat them up, i suggest that try rolling your hair up first to get the feel of it, that way you'll know how to roll your hair and shouldnt have a lot of problems when rolling hot curlers.

for small curls, use the smaller rolls. the ones that are as round as your fingers. bigger rolls are used to create volume rather than major curls
