Hi there...If this were true, which it isn't intelligent people would have enough sense to fix the cat overpopulation. Logic defines this as such to spare the indignities of homeless cats. Intelligent people would not wonder how or why as they would educate themselves to know why or how of anything such as cat spay/neuter benefits and risks.

Anyhow, perhaps this statement may have some merit as we always see movies or TV shows where a cat is comfortably lounging in a library (whether private or public) and perhaps it is associated to bookworms and braniacs.

I have 2 cats, so I'll say yes. It is absolutely correct.

In truth, I doubt pet preference has any connection with IQ. I've owned both, cats and dogs, as well as various other creatures. Some may be smarter than others, but I've only grown smarter with each. Maybe it's the hamsters that did it.

I think Cat owners are just crazier is what it is! I have been adopted by 4 cats, and they just seem to know a soft touch when they see one. I think the common misnoumer is that Cat owners are more sophisticated because dogs can be so goofy. But my cats and dogs can be equally intelligent and goofy, so I think what it boils down to is that owning pets makes anyone smarter if they are good parents to their furry children.
