Are they OFA and CERF (also possibly BAER) certified?
Do you have homes lined up for the puppies, and are you willing to care for any dogs should they not find homes or be returned?
Are you prepared to deal with possible whelping complications?
If you can't answer yes to all of these questions, they are better off not mating anyway. If you have done all those things, then I would ask the opinion of an experienced and responsible breeder.

if she is under 2 she doesn't need to be having puppies, a female dog is in heat for 3 weeks during the second week is when she can get pregnant however it all depends on whether she wants to, you cannot force anything. By the way you need to get her spayed there are so many homeless pets out there now and you are just adding to the problem, do the right thing.

I'm sorry, but if you need to be asking this question you are not ready to be breeding dogs. There is a lot more to it than just putting two dogs together and letting them do their thing.

Usually a femal dog won't mate with a dog until it is in heat, just wait a while.

Your dog is probably just not ready. I'd wait a while before you try to get them to mate again. She's probably not far enough along in her heat cycle too if she doesn't want to breed. I guess it just depends on the dog.

If she is less than 2 years old, then she doesn't need to be having pups anyway. Think about it. Just because an 11 year old girl is having periods doesn't mean that she should be having babies even though, theoretically, she could.
If she is older than 2 years, then just let them work it out. When she is ready, they will tie.

Either dog may still be too young and uninterested. My female dog was about 8 when she lost her virginity to our 1 year old dog. She also got pregnant right then & there!! We didn't even know she was pregnant and one day we found little puppies in her cage and were VERY suprised!!!

She's obviously not ready if she is not receptive. You don't even understand how that part works and you want to breed??
I think you should do a little more research on the topic before you even consider breeding.

A female will not let a male mate with her till she is ready, usually 10-13days after they start bleeding, So when she is ready she will let him.
