Although i am not specifically familiar with your vehicle this is a very simple job (perfect for a novice). You could buy a repair manual that will tell you everything you need to know and the new thermostat for a fraction of what it would cost to have a shop do it ($100-$200).

Generally thermostats are located at the engine end of the top radiator hose, not in the hose but in the housing it is connected to.

sounds like he's quoting very inflated fees at best. Very intense even via immediately's standards, particularly in Florida. I see no % for $114.00 exertions for the belt, and via no potential $158.00 exertions for the valve conceal gasket. it somewhat is approximately double what i might evaluate actual looking and user-friendly. Our exertions value right here in northern Ohio levels someplace interior the community of $70-$seventy 5.00 according to hour from a valid vehicle broking, so 2 hours for a belt replace and approximately yet another 2 hours for the fix on the valve conceal seems intense. advise, get some extra estimates, and if the coolant isn't over 3 or 4 years previous, overlook it. Brake flush relies upon on how grimy the fluid is and how previous.
