I just started dating someone 2 months ago. He is 40 and I am 28. He was the CEO of my company and I obviously worked there. We become friends over the course of 2.5 years. Two months ago we ran into each other and started hanging out. Well, he is constantly flying every week and doesn't call all that much. So I don't call. I figure if he wants to hang out, he can call me. Well he calls randomly and we haven't seen each other for a month. Everyone is telling me to call him..but I don't think I should have too.

Any thoughts?

Relationships are all give and take... and most of the time it feels like your giving too much. You shouldn't feel that way even if it is the case though. Giving is a good thing and should be done without any expectations. Give the guy a call sometime, let him know that you're still there, still waiting on him to come back home. Possibly, he's thinking that he's giving way too much by being the one to call all the time... calling him could be just what he was waiting on.

You don't ''have too'', you may simply call if you want too. The old dating rules, where the guy must do the pursuing are way outdated. Your not a woman like your grandma, your a modern woman.

If you don't want to call him, don't. It's not that hard...is it? On the other hand, if you do, then just pick up the phone. Why do you complicate something as simple as this?

you don't have to call him, if you don't want to. but if this relationship matters to you enough, you would be calling him.
