I have the steaks cut into small cubes, onions, diced tomatoes, white rice, and some seasonings to work with. What seasonings should I use? How should I prepare this meal?

Chopped Steak Au Poivre Lhj

Ingredients

1 1/2 lb lean ground beef<<<<<< use your cubes instead
2 tb freshly ground pepper
Salt
1 tb olive oil
1 tb butter or margarine
1/3 c finely chopped shallots
1/4 c brandy
1/2 c beef broth
1/4 c heavy or whipping cream
2 tb chopped fresh parsley
Steamed spinach and sauted cherry tomatoes (optional)

Instructions

1. Shape beef into four 3/4-inch-thick oval patties. Coat both sides evenly with pepper; sprinkle lightly with salt.
2. Heat oil in large skillet over medium-high heat. Add beef and cook 3 to 4 minutes per side for medium-rare. Transfer beef to serving platter; cover and keep warm.
3. Discard any drippings from skillet. Add butter and melt over
medium-high heat. Add shallots and cook until softened, 1 minute. Add brandy and carefully ignite, shaking pan constantly until flame dies down. Pour in broth and boil 3 minutes. Stir in cream and boil until sauce is thickened, 1 minute more. Stir in parsley. Pour sauce over beef. Serve immediately with spinach and tomatoes, if desired.
The pepper packs a real punch in this elegant entree, and it's as much of a knockout with ground beef as with sirloin or filet mignon. This is indulgent but worth the calories.

Take steak & onion and sautee in olive oil with 1 clove garlice finely chopped. In casserole dish, add cooked meat, diced tomatos, rice, seasonings, 1 can tomato soup - just a splash of water & 1 tsp worchester sauce. Bake @ 350 for about 30 - 40 minutes or til most of liquid is absorbed & rice is tender. Serve with fresh baked rolls & a tossed salad.....Thanks for the dinner idea!!

I say take onions and tomatoes and saute them up and add in a little cumin and pepper. Then set that aside and add the meat in and cook it till done and put the onion and tomatoe mixture back in and add some ketchup or tomato sauce if you have it. Bring to a simmer and then pour over buttered rice.
