The next PPV has got George St. Pierre vs Matt Hughes for the title, and Tim Sylvia vs Jeff Monsoon for the heavyweight title. Who do you think is going to win each of these matches and why?

I think there will be 2 new champions. George St. Pierre is an excellent fighter and hes had more than enought time to take notes on Matt Hughe's technique. Hughe's camp is very well rounded, but unless he has seriously worked on his standup game, his only chance at defending against St. Pierre is getting him to the ground. George is excellent standing up. In his first fight against Matt he totally dominated the standup landing different shots including a spinning side kick that knocked Hughes back into the fence. George has most likely gotten even better with his standup and he will be ready to dominate Hughes in this area. George is also an excellent wrestler and if he's been working on his takedown defense skills to combat Hughe's only shot at defending his title. He will win.

I agree I think we are going to see 2 new champions on the 18th!

Matt Hughes vs GSP
Georges only loss was to matt all those years ago, he is the most dominate welterweight the UFC has ever seen. And most importantly he is able to change his gameplan mid-fight and adapt to come out on top. I dont understand how anyone who watched the Penn vs Hughes II fight thinks that matt will come out on top here, Penn trained for 2 weeks for that fight and man-handled the bigger stonger Redneck for 2 rounds and ONLY reason matt won that fight is because Penn broke his rib during the end of round 2 and could hardly breathe. George St. Pierre is in my opinion the best welterweight fighter in the world right now and that title belt will be around his waist November 18th!

Sylvia vs Monson
I like Tim dont get me wrong but when asked what he is doing differently in his training for this fight knowing that monson is such a strong wrestler he replied, nothing this fight wont go to the ground, I will knock him out. And thats absolutely the most retarded gameplan ever. I want Tim to win this fight and gain back the respect he lost, although he has lots of reasons to be given no respect (steroids, how big of a pussy he was fighting AA after the first fight, calling out Fedor) but IMO I think Jeff Monson will take the belt away from him but it wont last long because Brandon "the truth" Vera will be wearing that belt in no time at all.

I am really looking forward to this show because not only are there 2 awesome title shots lined up but some great undercard fights as well. Brandon Vera vs Frank Mir is going to be a spectacular fight! Vera will finally prove that he is ready for the belt. Also excited to see Joe Stevenson and Nick Diaz back in the ring. Honestly this is going to be the UFC's biggest show of 2006 Dont miss it!

Hughes is a much better all around fighter the GSP because Hughes has more experinence than GSP and is a much better fighter and if GSP falls to the floor expect Matt to win but if he doesnt who knows but I still think Hughes will defend. Monson will definately beat Sylvia because Tim is exactly like Franklin not a real champion and Monson will win and then defend his title v.s. Bradon "The Truth" Vera or Frank Mir or Sylvia again or Rashad Evans who really deserves a title shot but I think the winner of Brandon "The Truth" Vera vs Frank Mir will get a title shot but I still think Rashad Evans is passed over due on a title shot.

The talent is better in the UFC, no doubt about that. However guys like Diaz, Melendez, King Mo, Mousasi, Overeem are all solid fighters and can beat guys in the UFC. There are guys that fought in Strikeforce that have come to the UFC(Jake Shields) and guys that have fought for the UFC and gone to Strikeforce(Dan Henderson). Where the UFC has a big advantage is the number of top contenders, which they have 5-8 solid ones in each division. Strikeforce has about 2-3, except at 185, where they are pretty strong. Having gone to both UFC and Strikeforce shows, UFC has much better production, better announcers, better use of technology. UFC can actually get undercard fights on the main broadcast with quick finishes in other fights. Strikeforce only shows the main card.

Pierre is a beast. I watched him fight on TV a couple of times and manhandled them like they were nothing. He has a really good camp and he is in excellent shape and is very strong but i got to give that to Hughes he is stronger. I think Pierre will win this time, because he wont allow another big mistake like a arm bar happen to him. I say he submits Hughes in the 2nd round. I never watched Monson but looks like a good fighter. I watched Sylvia 5 times. He knocked them all out. In the 1st if Monson can get him to the ground and ground in pound him to throw him off his rhythm then I think Monson can win but if not he will get knocked out either late 1st round or early 2nd round.

I say Matt Huges cause of his fighting style.

I like Tim Sylvia & his tolerance to dished out pain.
