When French children come home from school, they pick up a warm baguette at the bakery and put pieces of chocolate inside to make a sweet treat.
The French make lovely filled omelets for breakfast or lunch. And they certainly have a way with fresh vegetables...haricots vert (green beans) and pommes de terre vapeur(boiled potatoes that are so much better than our plain boiled potatoes) It might have something to do with the quality of their produce. All of their bread products are superior -- croissants are so delicious! Even the street vendors make the most incredible crepes, some with sugar and cinnamon, some more substantial with ham and cheese. Makes my mouth water just to think about it.

The varieties of french food are endless, but breads and desserts are the most popular. There is also escargot (snail) and croque monsieur (ham and cheese sandwich). Remember, this is only a sample of the great French food out there. ;-)

I don't know about usually but, here's some. Escargo (snails) and creme brulee.
I know it may not be very helpful, but it's the best I got.
