It depends on what you like. And the age group of the people attending. Chicago, Dirty Rotten Scoundrels, Lion King, Mamma Mia, Wicked, and Tarzan.
Check out off Broadway as well--The Blue Man group at the Astor Place is great!

Wicked is probably one of the best shows to see because it appeals to many age groups. Everyone I know that has seen it has loved it, and I've seen it twice!
The Wedding Singer is also very fun, and a really good show.
Lion King is amazing, but can be hard to get tickets to. Hairspray and MamaMia are also fun, light hearted shows.
If you want something that is not so "Disney" then check out Grey Gardens, which is an amazing show. 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee is hysterical! The Drowsy Chaperone is a great show, especially for anyone who loves the theater and sees lots of shows.
Check out Broadway.com for more info on the shows.

as far as theaters go I think Lincoln Center is pretty nice, kinda out of the way but very nice. I also liked the Imperial. Avenue Q is a great show. I would stay away from tarzan, the opening is very good but the rest of it is a snoozefest. I would definatly go see Les Miserables, it is coming back after a few years off. Its one of broadways best shows ever

Radio City Music Hall and their Christmas Spectacular Show is usually very nice for this time of year. There are a lot of great Broadway shows but it really depends on your tastes!

depending on your age you'll enjoy different shows...for example an intelligent adult would like off-broadway shows...while immature kids and adults would like the bangs and colors and costumes that a show like phantom of the opera or lion king might offer....my pick would be to see a show called the fifth of april or any off-broadway show that would have a great story and plot

Anybody who has seen, directed, or worked on a play/show is gay. Are you indeed so feeble minded that you cannot iamgine a better way to waste money?
