Im using micorosft word, how do i make a header only appear on the first page?

i've tried all that i know, i cant make the header appear on only one page. if i deleted the header on the second or third page, all it does is delete the main header. i just want the header on the first page only.

Try Print Page Setup & make the choices there for your various pages.'

File > Page Setup and go to the Layout tab, and choose Different First Page.
