I went to the dr the other day, because when I woke up my foot was hurting so bad I could not walk. I had a scheduled appointment for next monday. They told me to come in as soon as possible, I told her about my back pain too but she didnt seem to interested, I'm a new patient there and I can't go back to my dr that i was seeing for half my life because I had different insurance and had to leave to get dental work done, and now they wont take me because of my new insurance , anyway, she gave me daypro to take but it is not working, I've also tried, alieve, and tylenol athritis but nothing helps the pain. I can't wait six weeks to go back to the dr. Should I just give in and go to the ER?

My foot isnt really bothering me anymore, it is more my neck and my shoulder blade going all the way down my right arm.

Have they done any test like an x-ray to see what is causing the pain, maybe you have a hair-line fracture or gout, arthritus? If your in pain go to the ER or call your doctor and explain the situation to the nurse. You shouldn't have to be in pain. Also, don't let them dismiss the back pain again. I wish you the best of luck.

Yep! If it's a new Dr. they probably won't give you any pain meds. Dr.'s don't like to because of so many people abusing them.
Anyhow, if you have insurance, just go to the ER.
We don't have it and have waited for 2 months of hell with my husband feeling sick to go. He has been to the Dr.'s and they couldn't figure it out.
We FINALLY went to the ER and had a CT done and found out he has a severe sinus infection that is just blocking everything off. It will be about $3000.00 out of our pockets, but at least we have the piece of mind that he isn't dying!
Good Luck!

How about trying ibuprofen and tylenol together, regular strength doses of each? You can do this because the drugs work to relieve pain two different ways, and neither one is an opioid (morphine-like). I don't recommend using tylenol with codeine if you're going to try this, codeine is an opioid. Also try heat or massage or distraction, non-drug ways to relieve pain. If it's just too intense, go to the ER. Why suffer?

I would try ice therapy before going to the hospital. Try icing your foot for 15 mins on then 15 mins off for an hour or two. Then re-asses your pain. If this doesn't help I would seek a trained medical professional.

I would try an alternative method that is what I do and I don't have heart burn, and its built up my immune system so I never get sick anymore.
