Yes-we used to live in another state & I had to plan my showers/baths long enough in advance to allow red blotches to dissapear.Big red blotches! Changing soaps never helped. We moved to another state-no problem!
Must have been some mineral or something in the water that I was allergic to!

If you go looking in the medical literature, you'll find even rarer allergies - such as allergies to water, and even the male sexual ejaculate, the semen.
An allergy to water: there are only about 20 of these cases in the medical literature.
The most recent case is that of a 20-year-old Vietnamese man who was living in California. Since the age of ten, whenever he let any kind of water (tap, or sea water) touch his skin, within five minutes he would have severe itching and white welts on his skin, rapidly leading up to a headache and severe respiratory distress.
Now water is an essential part of the body, and it's almost impossible to avoid touching water with your skin during the day. In fact, many people like sports involving water, such as swimming or surfing. But our young Vietnamese man had quickly learnt how to wash himself and dry himself very rapidly indeed.
In this case, we've got absolutely no idea what's going on. This man had no change in his blood histamine levels, and when they tried treating him with various antihistamine and anticholinergic drugs, they made absolutely no difference at all.
It's true that these are very rare, but if you're really unlucky, and allergic to both water and semen, maybe it's not a good idea to get either clean or dirty.
Well, I liked your question..pretty neat.

Nope. If you were allergic to water, you would be allergic to yourself: The human body is made mostly of water. However, it is quite possible to be allergic to something in the water.
