usually, advil or tylonel or other over the counter pain releivers can help. try a heating pad or curling up in a ball. if the cramps are sooo bad that you have to stay home from work/school more than twice a month, go see a doctor. you could have some other problem.

I have horrible craps leading up to my period- so horrible sometimes I literally cant get out of bed. I would recommend seeing a doctor if your cramps are serious- they actually put me on a birth control pill. Also, if you excercise lightly (take a walk after dinner, etc.) it will loosen up your muscles and the cramps will be less painful. If you choose to excercise- try focusing on your lower abdomin- which will strech your pelvic muscles and make them not as tight so your cramps will be less of a hassle!
hope this helps =)

A heating pad soothes cramps. Have you thought about taking an Ibuprofen. Next month... you might want to stay away from caffiene & red meat. I have found exercising before my cycle helps. I also have found heat to be a tremendous help.
If your cramps are severe you might want to let your doctor know, because you might have other problems that is leading to menstrual cramps.
Take care

Try a warm water bottle and place it on your lower part of the stomach. This should relieve the cramps.

all u have to do is RELIGIOUSLY take Advil/ibuprofen every 4 hours on the dot. this will keep those cramps at bay. if u miss ur dose, the cramps will come back.
