That is not what I am really worried about. My husband's entire family does that. What I do wonder about is when he sits up and asks for mama, but when I come he acts like he doesn't know who I am. Most of the time you can tell he is still asleep. He does sleep walk sometimes looking for the potty or his drink. He does cry sometimes and I will sing him back to sleep. My family does have a history of night terrors. I know I need to talk to my pediatrician, but I was wondering if there are any other mother's out there that have or had this problem. I am not really that worried about it because of the family history, but I would like to know if this happens to anyone else.

He's been doing this for like a year and a half. When he was 1-1/2 he would scream and I would have to sing him back to sleep.

Ginger Sling- That's what my mother-in-law would tell me. He would start smiling and laughing and she would say that he was playing with the angels.

My son use to get up out of nowhere and run around like he was so scared of something and you could not calm him down for nothing.
I did find out eventually that a neighbor girl told him that she was a witch and that if she wanted to she could make this big tree that was next to our house crash into his room. So most of this stuff happened when the wind was blowing.....
Maybe there is an underlying issue. I didnt take my son to the doctor for it or anything and it eventually went away.

my son did that for a while when he was 3-4, but then he grew out of a lot of it. He still will talk in his sleep and sometimes its loud enough to wake up his brother.

He is eight now.

Sounds like your boy's got a very active mind. You may find as he's older that he's academically advanced as he's always thinking, even in his sleep.

No but I felt sorry for your son because if you think that this is going to progress into night terrors then it may be scary for you and him. Good Luck!!!!!!
