Step 1: Start when you receive the assignment, not when it is due.
Step 2: Read the Constitution. If you can find Yahoo Answers, you should have no trouble finding the Constitution online.
Step 3: Read the Federalist Papers. They were written by some of our Founding Fathers to convince the citizens of New York to support the Constitution.
It was too late to do any of these by the time you asked.

The constitution was made to provide the people with rights which protect them from the government.
It provides limits with regard to governing the union and while overtime, some have changed, for the most part it was well written and well planned.
Without it, a President could just decide to be King and the republic would be disgarded.

Sounds like you procrastinated way too long! You should have gone to the library, or on line, for a copy of the Constitution. Try reading it, then you could have written the paper quite easily.

Look up the constitutional convention of 1787.
That is when the constitution was created and if you study what the delegates said at that convention you should have no problem writing your paper.

appeal to their sense of freedom: letting them know that signing that document will strike a blow for freedom.
freedom of speech, press, religion, own guns etc.. are a few freedoms you can outline.
