This 11th grade guy's house burned down. Now he is going around school with a bucket asking for money. I gave him ten dollars and 35 cents. I feel like i can do more. Any ideas. I am in the ninth grade and i also like this guy too.

Arrange for your school to set-up a trust-fund at your local bank and ask students and their families to donate (advertise on the radio, paper etc...). Another good idea is to have a collection taken at your local churches.

Even better, make sure he has good friends that can support him through this tough time (sounds like he already has a good friend... you!).

Are there any community service clubs at your school? You might connect with them to see if there's a way to put together a fund raiser on campus.

A similar situation happened near me, and the local Key Club held a rock-a-thon...They got people to sponsor them on an hourly basis, and took turns sitting in a rocking chair. They stayed up all night, but made enough money for the family to buy some new clothes for the kids.

I'm glad to know you care.

You could get the principal involved, and have a fund raiser. Example, make it a certain color t-shirt day to wear on Friday. (I don't know if you wear uniforms at your school) So, if the students would pay a dollar each, they could wear a red t-shirt on that given day.
That is what my kids' school does.

Good for you for trying to help!!!

Maybe you could make up some flyers and take them to as many churches as possible.
I feel bad for dude.
Have him get a po box. A bucket won't do it.
