Its a regular flat panel computer monitor. I'm planning on getting an xbox 360 so will i be hd ready if i connect my 360 via vga cable

While your monitor technically supports the correct resolution for HD, it is most likely unable to decode a 720p (720 lines progressive scan) signal. So no, you most likely can't use your monitor.

It doesn't sound like your monitor is HD.
