Try to keep the Goth look under control but there's no reason why you can't be you. But then, I imagine under all that black there is quite a pretty girl. There usually is.
Go for something classy rather than trampy. Squelch the urge to go with your boobs or butt out. Wear a nice dress or skirt & blouse. Something like this for day

If it's a formal evening wedding then you can go sparkly or this

Talk to your Aunt or uncle about what to wear and what's apporpriate. I have no problem with guests wearing black to an evening wedding, as long as it's tasteful. A classy "little black dress" with a shock of freshly dyed fuschia hair and a matching faux fur fuschia clutch would be divine. That is, of course, if the family approves of black.
Otherwise, a lot of this is dictated by when the wedding is, where the wedding is, where the reception is, and the formality of the wedding. Check out Nordstrom.com for some ideas - they have all kinds of fun stuff. Stay classy, but use some fun accessories to keep touches of 'you'. A classy dark silver dress could be a blast with deep blood red nail polish and teeny tiny silver skull earrings. It's all about playing with the accents. : )

You absolutely can wear black, if the wedding is in the PM. Try to find something relatively simple, and possibly let your mother help you with your hair and make up (just this once). If you must wear a color, chocolate brown, olive green, plum, etc. are dark but much less harsh. Good luck!

What is their motiff? Wear a dress somewhat in that color or whatever you have that depends on the dress code. Is it formal? Semi-formal? Just wear something simple which looks a bit elegant!
