I considered being a gnostic at one time because they follow their hearts and minds, they believe God lives within us.
Agnostics are like atheist they just like to argue but gnostics are highly intelligent.
My religious believes are different than anyone else, I believe in God and his ways but not so much in Jesus and his ways so I am basically gnostic.
It kind of irritates me in here with the atheist assuming I'm Christian.

While proclaiming that gnosticism is a heresy, many egoistical preachers behave as if they were gnostics: assuming that they have a special knowledge of God and so they deserve privileges.
Never put your life in the hangs of the priest, for they are wolves in sheep's clothing.

Dear friend Pagan Rebirth, true Essenes are not gnostic. They are fundamentalist Jews.
The term essene has become a popluar "cult" phrase, more highly used by New Age groups than gnostics or Hebrews.
