Considering she's of legal age, I don't see a social problem with it. However, that is quite an age gap, and your maturity levels might not be close enough to be compatible. At 27, the man is more settled down, secure in a career / job, maybe owning real estate, possibly even with kids. A 19 year old girl is wet behind the ears in everything, has never gone through the "i'm 21 now and gonna party till i puke" stage, and does not have any experience in adult relationships. And by experience, I mean a relationship as an adult that lasted at least 2 years. However, if you're just dating to have fun and have someone to occupy your time with, than it'd probably be a good match. At least for awhile. Good to kill time with these kind.

Ok listen carefully. First I am 29.
There is nothing wrong with it. It's legal and blah blah blah.
I couldn't date anyone that young. I'm sorry but 95% of you still look like kids and that just bugs me out. It's hard for me to look at some of these swimsuit calendars without feeling like a pedophile. I want something that looks like a WOMAN.
Second: it has been my experience that a late 20's dating a late teen is just too much of a difference. Between 20 and 30 there is a huge maturity gap. I don't care how many of you tell me "well my 20 year old friend acts a lot older than her age." I have heard this to ad naseum and have never once seen it.
Now the difference ( I believe) between 30 and 40 is more capable of having a succesful relationship. As well as 40 to 60, it just gets easier the older you are.

What about a 33 yr old falling in love with a 19 yr old.
When i was 19 I fell in love with a 33 yr old. He could never understand why I loved an old guy like him.
She's of age!
That's if she is a she. I'm just presuming she is.
Don't make him feel old he's still in his 20s and girls mature quicker than guys.

Depends on what the 19 year old thinks about it. I honestly think there is nothing wrong with it... I actually like older guys. but that is me personally, and 27 isn't old...

i use to think it was way wrong but now that i am getting older i am not sure. i mean should age really matter and you guys are not even 10 years apart so as long as he treats you right i think you are fine. I also think it just sounds weird because you are 19 ( the word teen in it) if you were 20 i am sure people would look at it different!

They are both of legal age according to the law. I think it is fine. My son married a much younger girl when she was 21 and he was 33. He had to raise her but it has turned out fine. The have been married 6 years and they are a solid marital unit and very happy.

the rule of thumb:
half the older's age plus 7
ie: 20 -> 17
30 -> 22

Any time there is a large age difference, it raises a few eyebrows. If he is respectful and not out for just sex, I personally see nothing wrong with it.

I think that it is ok only if the girl wants to date him too, and they are best, best friends. If thry just randomly met and "fell in love" that probably isn't such a good idea.

If you have the same things in common and get along, there's nothing wrong with it. Age has nothing to do with it.
