A Florida judge rejected a woman's request to have her face covered by a veil in the photograph on her state driver's license, siding with the state Friday that a favorable ruling could be exploited by terrorists.
Her husband, Abdul-Maalik Freeman, said his wife would fight the decision.
"She's not lifting the veil. This is a religious principle," he told CNN-affiliate WKMG. "We don't quit. We have a no-quit attitude"

Bizzare that Muslim woman refuses to supply full face photo for driving license ID in the USA yet in Muslim countries, listed, women do not cover their face in I.D. pictures.

Touched a raw nerve of 'clay doll worshipper'.
Unfortunately the safety of all in the West is at risk if this is allowed by the judge.
Perhaps the couple have been paid all legal expences by a Pakistani terrorist organisation to arrange for a loophole in the ID law in the USA.

The cover up I see here is that by the Islamic Extremists. They may be funding this attempt by the civil liberty union (ACLU) to force this through the courts and if they win it will mean a massive hole in the security of the nation.

religiously speaking, Islam does not require from women to cover their face.
only the hair and the neck.
she should get over it since she's not doing any thing against God.

We had a similar case in Australia where the woman wanted to cover all of her face with the veil. And I agree with the judge of this case in Florida. It would be very easy for people to exploit this, and it's just too risky.Surely the woman could just wear the hijab for the photo, but still cover all of her face at every other time if she wanted to?

Well then the judges decision was correct going on your evidence.
I would like to know why the wife could not speak to fight the decision, no English perhaps?
Those who live in a Christian country should abide by those rules, not impose their religion on the country (however accepting that country is).
If I lived in Saudi for example I wouldnt drive as it goes against their principles

when she came to this country she had to know there are certain rules to follow. if she has her face covered in a photo id then they cant see her face!!! thats the whole point of a photo id. then just anyone could use her id. if she doesnt like it then she can not drive, or go back where she doesnt have the right at all. if everyone starts coming over here demanding all of these civil rights we wont have any rules at all! they should be happy that they live some where less harsh than their original country.

I agree with the judge in this decision. The purpose of an ID card or license is for identification reasons. How can she be identified if her face is covered?

Some people don't know they don't have to wear it. Even if some women do wear it, they should know that they are expected to show their face in passport photos and other required stuff, obviously so they can be identified.

Completely bonkers. If they insist on having their faces covered for id photos, then they should be denied driving licences etc.

I have sympathy with the husband,
If I had a wife that ugly I would insist she wore a veil at all times, and I am a Christian.
