That is exactly what I have said when it comes to this matter. The world will hate us because it hates Jesus- which is SO SAD! But God tells us this is true! Jesus says this! It does strengthen my faith MORE in Him- and it does not personally bother me when I am attacked- I just think of my Loving Savior and cant believe some of the stuff I hear....because I want to defend my Savior! That is why when I hear the things I do, I come back with scripture- it is powerful and it is the word of God and will always be!

Because Christians have done the same throughout history; it's called pay-back! NO ONE is persecuting anyone; please stop with the nonsensical exaggerations... no one believes your rant anyway.

Many so-called Christians do not even have the testicular fortitude to wear a uniform and defend this country but they are quick to get involved to promote war and Capital Punishment (oops, that's the taking of a life! Oh-ohhh... tsk-tsk-tsk... naughty-naughty!) and get involved in politics by blackmailing politicians... worldly matters... but they can't defend their country and their fellow Christians and fellow fellow Americans or fellow countrymen... why should they have a voice in government matters... how about the separation of state and government or is that only a good excuse for it suits someone's purpose and personal agenda? How can they justify sending others into war to risk their lives while they remain safely hidden behind the shield of a Bible and Scriptures? Where's the parallel? Do they hide behind the "legality" aspect now that it's convenient? You don't believe in killing (but promote Capital Punishment and war) and you can't serve your country by being a medic or performing other non-combat duties? Stop with the excuses and be real.

Atheists attacking Christians? You have it backwards; wake up and smell the coffee. Atheists AIN'T imposing any views on anyone like some people WE all know! "Another source of the Bible is true" is not really something you can bet money on since there is no historical basis nor any kind of physical proof but blind belief... some people call it just speculation and propaganda. WHERE is the so-called proof?

How about the Witch hangings and burnings throughout Europe and what about the New World where people of brown skin were enslaved and forced to pray to the Christian God while forced to work at the hands of overseers with whips, their lands taken from them and women raped, condoned slavery and told the slaves to be thankful of the lot they were given by a just and fair and merciful God? How about the raving lunatics that promote homophobia while they are themselves pedophiles molesting boys and little girls or using the pulprit to seduce women and engage in clandestine homosexual activities, making fortunes to live lavish lifestyles at the expensive of the gullible? Defend that and explain how JC lived in near poverty and had no fancy church decorated in gold and/or silver and/or expensive decor?

You guys hurl all sorts of insulting innuendos and the minute someone replies in kind, you gang up to voice "abuse" complaints. You only see fairness when it's YOU who are accusing and abusing others, but don't play by the same rules.

Seems to me that self defense is allowed in this country. Usually, its the Christians trying to legislate the religious beliefs of others through the word of secular law that draws return fire. I think the persecution complex of Christians (at least in the US) is a self fulfilling prophecy. Annoy enough people and sooner or later you can generate the "proof" you need.

Am I going to deny that all kinds of religious groups throughout the world have been and are persecuted? No. Of course, Christians have done their fair share of the persecuting. (That's what early settlers, in what is not the Unites States, came here to avoid.)

When people stop trying to pass off beliefs as facts, then we can have a real discussion. But these supposed "proofs" that constitute nothing but someone's belief, simply aren't proofs at all.

The authors of the bible included that in a rare moment of foresight. By claiming persecution for their faith, it gave them a tool to rally around, and further "proof" that they were right. It has nothing to do with reality.

Or you can paraphrase the bible..."do unto others as they do unto you"

I can't condone the physical attacks but come on! You lot will believe anything if it's in the bible won't you? And besides I see a fair amount of verbal attacks on atheists so it probably balances out in the end.

thats not a source the bible is true, muslims persecuted for their faith does that make muslim beliefs true? just cause ur bible "predicted" youd be persecuted? lol any fool can make that prediction about any given religion. however ive seen christians attack non-believers the same, infact ive had many call me names just the same as ive had athiests attack me and call me names. it just depends on the person.

i think of there is lots of "provide and take" from the two ends of this argument. Christians (or self professed Christians) are continuously attacking non-believers, to boot. of direction, you will possibly basically see it out of your attitude. Christians have been under attack from all facets in the time of historic past (as have Muslims, Jews, Protestants, Buddhists, and so forth.). human beings have an inclination to make certain issues from their own attitude of that in the time of their specific team. faith is the inspiration for a majority of all conflict from individual to individual to boot as substantial worldwide conflict. it relatively is not a query of respecting others' religions, this is an argument of FOLLOWING your individual.

Yes but Christians also believe that turn-about is fair play. Christians have persecuted others every bit as much as others have persecuted them. Witch burnings, inquisitions, crusades, etc. I guess they never got the hang of that "turn the other cheek" thing...

Don't feel a martyr please! Do you know how many people were persecuted and killed by Christians during 2000 years? Look into history what the "Christian kings" of Spain - Isabel la catolica y and hubby Fernando - for example did to the Jews.

I don't attack verbally or physically, I attack mentally.

I use clear, logical explanations presented as text for them to read, and I let my rational, written arguments speak for themselves.

As you can see, this method doesn't work very well, which is probably why so many other people want to shout at Christians, or kick them in their little tushies.

its because of that. Chrisitans are always confident and stubborn in the fact that they alwasy think the're right. Athiest and nonbelievers believe that the bible isnt ture and usuall have good reason for it. SO when someone else comes up and says that everything in the bible is true, it pisses them off
