Thats something you need to figure out on your own. Asking random people for dating tips....now thats cocky and pretty funny too.

There's a fine line between cocky and arrogant...when ya cross it, you're typically sunk...
...cocky/funny typically = being a smart azz...sometimes chicks find that amusing, other times it will illicit an eye roll...
...it's a krap shoot no matter what ya do...be yourself...and smile a lot...

cocky? that isn't the best tip... to be arrogant or conceited...
funny, now that makes some sense, but you have to be yourself.
if you really follow such dating tips, then you aren't going to end up being yourself & will get people who don't want the real you & will deter those who would like who you really are.

If your naturally an ****** you can pull it off. If your not, it is not going to work.

Don't be too stiff, be lighthearted and make jokes about everything. Chances are that a couple of them will turn out funny, and that's all you need.
