Consider, if you would, that instead of telling his followers to go house to house, to spread his Father's teachings, even to the Jews, he told them to simply wait for others to come to them, where would we be today? Would Christianity be as spread out as it is, or would it have died out?

We would be a sorry state. But look at the account of the unprofitable servant,he was cursed by God and then cast into hell. And what was he guilty of ? Doing absolutely nothing. He wasn"t a thief, liar,or immoral. He was just unprofitable because he did nothing.

I'm not certain how far spread it would be, but I'm certain it would still be around. Paganism does not condone proselytizing, but Pagans still survived all of the mass murdering that befell them, and are still around today. There are even new Pagan religions reformed from older ones emerging everywhere.

In fact, Christianity is the ONLY religion that promotes followers to convert others, and look at all the other religions that are still around! Hinduism is the third largest religion in the world, and is the one religion that can be traced farther back in history than any other.

I do feel it would have a great impact in the amount of different denominations it has today. Had Christianity stayed a tight-knit group of individuals who held strong to its original teachings, there no doubt would be many less versions of the bible, interpretations of true Christianity, and variations on systems of worship. Throughout time, Christianity had incorporated countless Pagan ideals, celebrations, holidays, etc. attempting to gain followers by rivaling the popular Pagan faiths of the times. Had they not been concerned about all that, then Christianity today would likely be far less commercialized and detached from Jesus’ original teachings.

Considering Jesuus was sent to the "Lost sheep of Isreal" he was sent specifically to the jews. Jesus never once called himself a Christan. However the Prophet Muhammad (saws) was sent to all of Mankind.

Christianity would not have died out becuase God would have spread his love in another, but this is the way he chose. He loves us and wants us to make the choice to come to him so that we can find freedom as children of God so he would have made another way. God Bless!

Christianity probably would have stayed within the close friends of Jesus's disciples (and the disciples themselves.) Nobody knew exactly WHERE to find them.
