when i go out i normally drink vodka or jack daniels. one of my friends told me to taste rose wine. anyone who drinks it is it nice

It's nice, but won't be like the hard likker you're used to. It's usually a bit bolder than whites, tamer than reds. Served chilled.

It totally depends on where the rose wine is from. If it is from a California winery, I would steer clear since you are used to the hard stuff. The reason why I say this is because most California Rose wines taste essentially like cotton candy or bubble gum. However, if you can get a rose wine from Canada or Europe, try it. Most of the Canadian rose wines are made in the same style as European rose's which have a lot more flavour and intensity to them than the California versions. There's nothing, per se, wrong about California Rose's - they're just not everyone's style and given that you normally drink Vodka and JD, I seriously doubt you would like a sugary sweet California rose.

Rose is a good wine for those who prefer red, but occasionally want a lighter version, for example to enjoy on its own. It would be a good summer wine if you don't like whites, as generally even though it's heavier (than white counterparts), it's still refreshing.

Some rose also do well as apperitif, even as pizza night wine.

My daughter and i drink rose wine accassionly we like vodka too.
