I've liked one of my best friends since 5th grade. I'm now in ninth grade. He's really popular and I'm just known to everyone, not mondo-popular like him. Well people have said we would make a cute couple and we talk all the time and he apporaches me to talk and vice-versa. So how do I tell him I like him without our friendship getting weird? Please answer and thank you!

Oh and I'm really shy so it's weird to talk to him in front of his other friends, guys or girls.

well i was once in a situation like this.. maybe call him and tell him your feelings( thats how i did) or ask him to talk to you after school about something without his friends..
then if he likes you he likes you, if he doesnt he doesnt...
don't listen to that first guy or the one that said 'flirt flirt flirt' ,,... im still very close friends with the guy /best friend i went out with. we went out like... 2 years ago.. and im still best friends with him, talk to him all the time, his friends and my friends sit at the same table for lunch... went trick or treating with him and his friends and mine..and i didn't flirt with him either.. so don't listen to 'dat wangsta soundin' guy ' (aka the first guy dat talkedid like diss) or the big flirt one

Take him somewhere private where no one can hear you. Tell him you really like him and yo uwant to know if he feels the same way. The worst thing he can say is no.

some people open there mouths and words come out so stand in front of your friend and open your mouth you will have to say something or your friend will think you are nuts

Invite him over and give him a back massage, then flip him over and plant one on him. He won't know what to think but I promise he will like it.

you have to start treating him as something more than "just a friend".......flirt it up with him....thats the best thing you can do...flirt flirt flirt.....flirt your butt off......he'll see it.......try touching him in subtle ways.......on the arm.....shoulder.....just let him know youre interested.......you even have to look at him different....look at him as if you desire him, because you do after all..........dont worry about popularity either...completely irrelevant....also when youre talking try getting as close to him as possible without making it obvious.....sit right next to him....stand right next to him....your hips should basically be touching.....he should see the signals....
