It's a sin and it goes against Gods laws. That is true in the Christian perspective, but God also granted us Free Will to either Obey him or not. A lot of people say just because we have Free Will doesn't mean we can go around killing and raping. That is true, but there is a separation, a difference. God gave us Free Will and we will break his laws because of it, and God will be the only judge. You can use free will to rape someone, and when you die God will judge, but here on earth you will also be judged by the laws of man.
Therefore there is a difference when you talk about abortion and rape. With rape, it goes against the laws of God and Man, therefore you will be judged and punish accordingly. With abortion, it will only(if you believe) go against Gods laws because according to the laws of man, it is not against the law. Therefor a religious argument to ban abortion is irrelevant.

I don't believe in abortions, but I am not going to judge a woman, nor will I stand between her and her choice.

Although I am pro-choice, I am going to tell you that religious arguments probably weigh more here than scientific. The science is all in. There is biological function from the moment of conception.
The next question is when that biological function constitutes human life with all of the inherent rights thereby entailed. This is not a question that science can solve. This is a question for religion and philosophy. Science often answers the question, "Can we?". Philosophy and Religion answer the question, "Should we?".
On an issue this controversial, I side with the pro-choice side. Not pro-abortion! (I'm not out there recommending abortions as a wonderful experience and don't know anyone who is.) Those who claim to be "pro-life" are for the most part simply anti-choice. They have their own exceptions (e.g. rape, incest, endangerment of the mother's life, etc.) and therefore aren't anti-abortion, they just want to say when you can and when you can't.
Although my wife and I have made the decision not to abort, in the face of genetic evidence which indicated that we might have a child with cystic fibrosis, I wouldn't dream of forcing our decision on another couple. There are some choices so personal and so difficult that I feel that others should mind their own business. It's always easy to judge others when you are not in their place. Let each woman or couple make their own piece with God or their higher power or whatever they believe.

there is scientific information that a fetus does no longer have thoughts, or thoughts, and can't tell what it happening if aborted. i stumble on it problematic to think of of a hypothetical state of affairs the place somebody confident me otherwise, yet there are lots of different reasons I help abortion. one million. women folk purely have the 'good to choose for.' No lady must be compelled to hold to term and delivery somewhat one she does not prefer. it particularly is merciless and inhumane to stress a woman to try this. each and every physique must be waiting to regulate their bodies, it particularly is a easy human good. 2. lots pregnancies are unplanned, and a fabulous style of toddlers are undesirable. confident, adoption is a risk, even though it particularly is totally problematic on the mother to provide up somewhat one she birthed. yet holding the toddler is often no longer a competent theory, with the aid of fact the mother in many cases purely can't have the money for to enhance a baby, for this reason foremost to a bad existence for the baby. particularly if the daddy isn't interior the photograph, yet the two way. 3. If a mom stored somewhat one she did no longer easily need (which regrettably happens no longer hardly) that could usually bring about abuse, or to a lesser volume, undesirable parenting, with the aid of fact the mother and dad/mom purely do no longer prefer the baby and don't prefer to put in the attempt to enhance one. 4. the international is quite overpopulated. it particularly is coming up extensive environmental expenses, and on the cost the inhabitants is increasing, we are able to easily run into extensive issues. We already are. supplies have become scarcer and scarcer, and cities have become overcrowded and polluted, which bring about wellness issues.

I don't believe that Christians believe that they have free will. I'm sure that they think that they do but their own doctrine precludes this kind of belief. No? First, all Christians belief that God is Omniscient (all knowing). They also believe that God cannot be wrong. Now, if God knows everything that would imply that he knows everything past, present, & future. If God knows what will happen in the future, and since God cannot be wrong, then the future can and will only occur in one way. If the future can only occur in one way then free will is just an illusion, isn't it?

The laws of man do say abortion is a crime. Recently though some places have changed the law. The whole thing in man's eyes depends on when does life begin and who talks for the unborn since they can't talk for themselves. The law used to champion those who could not speak for themselves. Murder is still murder. If it is a life then it is murder. Some seek to say no it is not life so therefore not murder. So my question to you is when does life begin?

Religious argument is not irrelevant. Every strata of society must be given a voice. But I agree with you that in this matter the majority's opinion should be law.

I guess the laws of man need to be changed. Not because of religion, but because abortion just isn't right.

Societies responsibility is to determine at what point a fetus is considered life.
At which point, any harm caused to that life is murder. No matter what the reason.
