You don't say how late you are. My breasts are almost always tender just before and the first days of my period. If you are sexually active, there is always a possibility of pregnancy. If you can afford it, get a test now. If not, wait a few more days and I would say 2-3 weeks after your missed period, I would definitely get a test or go to the doctor for a test.

It is symptomatic of pregnancy but it could be your period the only way to know for sure is to take a Home pregnancy test

Wait a couple of days. If your period doesn't arrive, get a pregnancy test. There is way to tell what is going to happen, so wait and see.

It more like a period because when you get pregnant you dont really have hardly any cramps.

It could be your uterus expanding. Or your period could just be late. Go get a Home Pregnancy Test

It sounds like your either pregnant or you have recently come off of birth control.
Either...Or. Take a pregnancy test. No one on this Q & A can answer this question for you for certain.
