Most cases are when you had a very light case of them previously,
and haven;t built up an immune response to them

You can ONLY if the first time you had it, it was an extremely light case. No fever, only a couple of spots. Then you can get it again and really bad. But normally, people only get it once. You can, however, contract shingles. Shingles is a very painful skin/nerve virus that can only come from within the person's own body. If you had chicken pox as a kid, the herpes zoster virus lies dormant in your body. It can come back as shingles. You can't catch it from someone. And shingles is only contagious to someone who has never had chicken pox--and they will only get chicken pox. Here's more info on the virus:

IF and only if your first case was extremely mild. Very few pox.
The older you are when you have them, the less likely you will have a mild case. A bad case the first time sets the immune system. After that you may get shingles......but not chicken pox again.

welll if it's a mild case then it acts as a vaccine though you should still get a vaccine
