my closest friend just told me that he loves me and he has been liking me for about two - three years now. i can't stop thinking about him, cause i like him too. now i feel weird around him and can't even talk to him like before? is his confession affecting our friendship or are we both just falling in love? i really need advice.

Don't make this more complex than it has to be. HE likes you. YOU like him. Tell him you want to move your friendship to the next level and start dating. This is a GREAT thing !!! I am happy for you two.

Liking and loving are 2 different things take your time make sure it is loving both ways if you now cant communicate well with him you have the start of a problem especially as he was your best friend before So you know him well what he likes dis likes etc.But if you cant communicate well together then this is not a good basis for marriage so try talking with him about it .Sometimes we love our best friend as a friend not as the one we really would like to marry the same goes for him .So I suggest you make a list of qualities you want in a man if he doesn't have most of them talk about them to him also .He must want to change those things himself freely you cant change him so please do as I say honestly with yourself marriage can rewen a good friendship.

You have gone from good friends to a whole lot more. I think this idea is a lot nicer then just falling in love. After all not only do you love each other but you like each other and that is a great combination. Right now I think you are both facing a dilemma of will we be be compatible that way? All you can do is continue to be yourself and for him to do likewise. You already like each others personalities. Do not try to impress him, you already have.

You two are falling in love!! How sweet! Nothing better than to fall in love with one of your closest friends! I know it may seem strange in the begining but things will change as all this sinks in.... try to break the ice and have dinner with him or a movie with just the two of you! Something fun...

and basicly you are both feeling nervous around each other thing is he knows why hes nervous coz you know his secret
he at the moment will have no idea why you are feeling shy to talk to him and may be giving the impression you dont like him,
basicly you need to arrange to meet up with him
go for a walk or to a park or something and just sit down and get everything out in the open =]

Just tell him how you feel and take it from there. This same thing happened to me when I was younger, but I never told him anything. And I always wonder if it could have become something. Give yourself the chance to find out. Just take it one step at a time.

this is a tough one, you have to work out how you feel first, because if you give him any hope and then realize you don't feel the same, your friendship will be in tatters.
its strange you feel weird around him, it suggests to me that you guys aren't at a stage where you can start something.
my advice is to give it time and get your friendship back on track after his revelation.

well that's kind of a hard question best friends becoming lovers is serious cause that's a gamble i wouldn't take something like that happened to me and i didn't go there with him cause i thought our friendship was to important to me but listening to Ur story reminds me of Mary j song one day a friend of mind that's my jam anyways i cant tell u what to do if y'all relationship has already change just try dating before y'all get y'all freak on good luck oh yeah and wrap it up if y'all do decide on something like that
