Why do you want to know what the opinion of the war is before you join the military?
If you want to join the military and serve your country do it. Dont do it because its popular. It requires a 4-year commitment, its not something to take lightly or to use a poll to decide.
I joined the Marines, even though my parents didnt like the idea. I joined because i wanted to serve my country. If you join, you will be joining a military fighting a war. Afgahnastan, Iraq, Africa are just a few of the areas we are fighting a war on terrorism. If you join, accept that fact.
I think its one of the greatest things in the world, i dropped out of my third year of college to enlist. I have an A.A. degree, and am working towards my B.A., while i do my job. I also love my job, and get to see and do some great things each day.

The military is a great option. Especially the reserve option, and you can still go to school.
With that being said, if you don't agree with the war and you don't want to be a part of it then stay out of the military. The military is serious. It is not just some free ride where you get a bunch of great benefits without giving anything back. You have to work hard and believe in what your fighting for.

I have seen many, many young men and some women soldiers at Walter Reed Hospital in Washington DC with their limbs (that's arms and legs, college boy) blown off. Do you think they have a high regard for Iraq now? The answer, doofus, is NO.

Im currently in the navy
stay in school finish it out, then you have a choice to go officer or go enlisted either way has its perks but first get an education, so many military people try to swing there regular job and go to school and its very hard due to the hours, enjoy being 21 finish school,

Your best bet for a military option would be to take ROTC. That way you get your degree and the military pays for it. After you graduate you get a cushy commission in the miltary for a few years and when you get out of that, everyone is on your nuts to hire you. They pay is much better for officers too. If you decide to go enlisted, you can continue taking classes while you are in and (at least in the army) they pay for 100 percent tuition and reimburse you for your books. They give you a laptop and everything to do your classes. So either way would be ok, but the officer way would be much better and you would be much happier.
