Yes tap water is safe to drink unless it has been said to be unsafe. I lived in mexico where the water was used only to shower, cook and clean with. This water was unsafe to drink often having floating things in it that were visable to the naked eye, it was kind of creepy. The water here is fine I drink it all the time and I'm old.

Depending on the country you live in it is safe. Here in the U.S. the tap water is supposed to be safe. When you pay for water from your local water company they purify it for cooking, drinking, bathing, etc. This being the case, it's safe to drink. If you live in a gated community that many people do, the HOA (Home Owners Association) automatically has purifiers set up so you can drink right from the tap. If you have a regular home that doesn't answer to a HOA then the water should still be safe, thats the basic necessity when purchasing water from a company.

The TASTE however is a different story. Some companies take it to the next level in the purification process to make it taste better. So the answer to your question is Yes, the tap water is safe to drink unless specified by your local water company.

In the UK 99.9% of tap water is equally safe as bottled water. That's not an opinion, that's a fact. Anyone who claims otherwise is either paranoid or a conspiracy theorist.

depends on where you live, the water in central scotland is excellent although the water in London is kack. It all depends. Although if you have a water tank i suggest you check that it has a tight fitting lid as they get full of all sorts in attics.

If you are in a good water area drink from the rising main usually found in your kitchen. Better still get a water filter then drink it.

Yes of course it is otherwise we would all be keeling over. Not a lot of people can actually afford to buy water and I am sure it would be at the bottom of many shopping lists. Or maybe thats why I am stark raving bonkers = blame the water!!
