Muslims do not accept the Christian doctrine that Jesus is the sacrifice that is prepared by God for the redemption of Mankind. They believe that Jesus is a prophet highly respected by Islam and is free of sin. Can Christian accept the Christ of Islam???

Muslims believe that Christians worship three gods and therefore contemned their faith as being awkward and obsolete, and classify them as heathens, and hence do not measure up to the standard of the Muslims faith that claims to believe in only one God.

We really can't, it minimizes who he truly was and how big of a sacrifice he made. I guess if we could accept their version of who he was we would become muslims.

UPDATE: Muslims are wrong about us believing in 3 gods. Their simplistic belief in a god whose every action they can easily explain precludes them from realizing that God is smart enough to be one being who can manifest himself into distinct entities.

No, Christians cannot accept the way Christ is accepted in Islam. The "Christ of Islam" is skewed, compared to Christianity. Here is why:

On the one hand, Muslims teach that Jesus is the Messiah. On the other hand, the Messiah is not the greatest of all the Prophets. Muhammed is considered the greatest--even greater than Jesus.

Christians do not have a problem with prophets coming after Christ. We have a problem with the claim that any prophet can be higher than Christ.

Islam accepts the Virgin Birth of Christ, & even takes St. Joseph out of the Nativity story, but, denies Jesus Is the Son Of God.

Islam teaches Jesus'Role on the Day of Judgement, but, rejects His Passion, Death, & Resurrection in atonement for all our sins.

As the Mother of Jesus, Mary is the highest revered woman in Islam, & yet, Muslims deny Jesus Is the Incarnate Son Of God, & the Second Person Of the Trinity.

Mary is thte Highest Revered Woman in Christianity precisely because we believe her to be the Mother Of Christ, the Mother Of God.

That is all the reason why Christians cannot accept the way Christ is in Islam.

You can try and justify all you want but what other prophet showed signs as Jesus did, walked on water, was resurrected and assembled His disciples after so they may receive the gift of the Holy Spirit?

Jesus was the greatest prophet of them all and the last, because no more signs will be given to this unbelieving generation, this was one of his prophecies. You have to wholly accept Jesus, not just the part you choose to believe, so no true christians will never accept teachings of Islam as they are not what Jesus taught but are what man teaches and who is man after for all have fallen short of God's glory.

Ecept for one, Jesus Christ of Nazareth, the son of Joseph and Mary of the house of David. And when he returns there will be no doubt in Islam or in any other religion as to who is really the King of Kings. I pray this day is near, how does God tolerate such ignorance, but love encompasses all and He know the time chosen and it will be so when He wills it. Amen.

Bottom line, no. The Christ of Islam is not the Christ of the Bible.

Yes, Islam respects Him as a prophet but deny His divine acts & miracles. They deny that He fulfilled hundreds of prophecies foretold of Him. This is why Christianity and Islam are incompatible.

Peace.

Muslims honor and respect Jesus, son of Mary (peace be upon him and all of God's prophets). Muslims believe that he was one in a long line of honorable prophets, who taught his people to worship and obey the One True Lord, the Creator. The Qur'an describes him:

Of all the prophets, Jesus is probably the most written about in the Qur'an. Various stories in the Islamic text talk about his miraculous birth, his ministry, his disciples, and the message that he brought to his people. Muslims always speak of Jesus with respect, and "Issa" (the Arabic rendition of his name) is a common given name in the Muslim world.

The Qur'an makes it very clear that Jesus was a prophet, chosen by God to teach his people, but not associated with nor part of God Himself. He performed miracles, by the grace and power of God alone. He of himself could do nothing -- all of his glory pointed back to the One Almighty God.

In the end, Muslims believe that the message Jesus preached was one and the same as the message that all of the prophets brought to their people: Worship Almighty God, and Him Alone. Have faith, and live your life according to that faith.

Yes. It is mandatory for Muslims to believe that:

1. Jesus is a major prophet, and the 2nd last prophet sent from God.
2. Jesus was born to Mary, a virgin, without father.
3. Jesus is not the son of God. Nor he is God.
4. Jesus didn't die on cross. He was taken to Heaven by God. Jesus will return before the end of time.
5. Jesus talked when he was a child, and Jesus healed people with leprosy and other diseases, by will of God.

It is also worth mentioning that no Muslim is allowed to mock Jesus, make fun of Jesus, ridicule or disrespect Jesus in any way. It is considered a serious blasphemy in Islam. Whoever does that is not a proper Muslim, s/he must repent sincerely to God

purely such as you reported, there is not any doubt that Jesus (pbuh) is returning and there is not any doubt that the anti-Christ will come to misinform many people earlier his return. it particularly is no longer precisely who Jesus (pbuh) accepts, yet fairly who people accepts him while he returns. That area is as much as us, we get to choose for no count if we settle for him or no longer. And our faith would be sure our selection with the aid of fact people who're susceptible in faith will save on with the anti-Christ fairly, could Allah guard us from him and his corruptions. From what i understand via many lectures, the final public which will save on with Jesus (pbuh) would be Muslims actual to their faith, and additionally some Christians who see the fact as quickly as he returns. yet even many Muslims who're susceptible in faith will finally end up following the anti-Christ with the aid of fact he's extremely deceptive together with his powers. the substantial's, people who particularly have confidence in one God and don't associate Jesus (pbuh) or anyone else to Him will see the fact inshallah and could be people who settle for Jesus (pbuh). those are the individuals with such good faith that makes them conscious of the deceptions of the anti-Christ. To my Muslim brothers and sisters, take the prospect to memorize the 1st and final 10 verses of Surat al-Kahf so as that if we live interior the era of the Dajjal and Isa (as), we are able to be secure against the deceptions and be on Jesus' part! Salaam~
