Hair dye can irritate your cat's skin to the point of infection and or death,if the reaction is severe enough. Basically, you would be torturing your cat. Food coloring will upset his stomach and can also irritate the skin.
If this "woman" suggested you torture your cat in this manner, you should not let her anywhere near your cat. She should love Bonzi the way he is just like you do. Bonzi would never suggest you put caustic substances on your "woman" to alter her looks.
If you are willing to sacrifice your cat for some girl, give Bonzi to someone who will protect him.
Shame on you for considering it.

You can dye your cat's hair using FOOD COLORS or easter egg coloring only. Anything else could prove toxic or even fatal. But unless your cat is white, chances are it's not going to look great colored any other color.
Just remember... the dye is going to stain your cats fur for quite awhile. Will you be comfortable having your buddies seeing you with a pink cat come Monday Night Football or the next poker night???
Oh... and as a woman... a guy is NOT going to impress me by dying his cat pink... or any color for that matter. If you feel that's the only way you can impress her or get her to go out with you... you've got issues. On the other hand... if it DOES work... SHE has issues. LOL

How old are you? If I were you I wouldn't do that! If it's a dog, you may get away with it but this is a cat we are talking about! They have that tendency to always lick themselves all the time! And it would probably make your cat sick if he or she keeps ingesting all of that chemical and peroxide found in those dyes.

I really think that's not a good idea, cause I think it's cruel and in the dye is bad chemicals that can harm a cat .

Do not use hair dye! You can, however, use Easter egg dye (or regular food coloring), since it is safe for human consumption. I did this with my white cat..she was green and blue for months. Oh yeah, by the way, it takes a while to wear off.

I do not know about dying the fur... but I used to color my cats and my dad's dog's fur with non toxic washable markers. It never hurt them... but I would not suggest using dye.

Take it to a groomer who uses safe products on animals. I know you can dye animal hair, Ive seen pink dogs in magizines. Just make sure you don't use human hair coloring, please take him to a pro groomer!!!!
