My next door neighbor, old guy, left me his auto in his will. He died a week ago, and the executor is really busy with funeral and paperwork on his house, etc. Can the person who inherits the car do the DMV paperwork? I could use that car right now.

not yet... there are standard forms for the transfer of a title to a next of kin. Your excutor will have to get you these forms.

Be pleased he thought enough of you do leave you his car. Then wait for the executor to finish the paperwork.

you need to wait on the executor,he has to do up the transfer paperwork to make it legal

normally it clears probate and the executor signs it over
