It was almost a year ago, I have had pain in my neck so bad that I can't breath sometimes. Everything I have tried (physical therapy, massage, chiropractor) hasn't worked. My doctor just refered me to a pain management clinic. They said they would be giving me injections in my neck and back. Has anyone had this done before? If so how bad does it hurt and what does it make you feel like? How long does it last?

Depends a lot on how the doctor goes about doing the injections. If he consciously sedates you, it doesn't hurt at all. I have had a total of 15 injections due to the fact that the sides were done in groups of 3 per side each week for 3 weeks, plus one week of sacrial injections. I was medicated with versed and fentanyl, and it was a very very pleasureable experience. The treatment doesn't take too long to perform, 15-45 minutes, depending on how many you are having done. The relief lasts anywhere from a few days to 3 or 4 months. I hope you get some relief. Many people report that this doesn't do much for them, just keep an open mind going into it.

Most likely talking about Cortisone shots.
I have had this done in an UNrepairded shoulder and it hurt like hell (also hurt in a car accident). But my mother and brother have had knees and back done and it does not. My MDs said it was because I had a torn rotator cuff and it shouldnt hurt.
I guess its a toss up, try it once but if it Majorly hurts dont do it again (took me 3x to say NO).

Yes I had this done in my tailbone It hurts for a week or two but should feel better. My relief only lasted a few weeks. I also had one in my shoulder about a year ago and it's so far so good.
