Only you and He can know that for sure.

When u are able to feel so close to Him when u are speakign to Him in ur prayers. When u feel that He really is there. When u could really feel His love. When u feel that the only thign that u keep thinking about is being able to go to Heaven to be with Him forver. God lvoes us and we need to spend more time with Him than it only being hte church. People think that they are going to Heaven just because they go to church every Sunday; well that wrong. If they don't even try to have a relationship with God and try to follow His ways in lfie by being Holy and not doing the things of the world, then they will not be entering the gates of the Kigdom.
U could feel it when u feel that the Holy Spirit is speakign to u personally, or when u just for no reason, strat crying for God. Those are just examples but everyone has different ways that can let them know if they have a relationship with God. It si supposed to be a emotinallya dn spiritual relationship. Spend time with God atleast once every day.

If you pray and read your Bible regularly, and can feel the Holy Spirit's presence. Honestly, a relationship with Jesus is just like a relationship with any other person, except for the fact that He's there ALL the time, wanting to have a relationship with you. It's just about whether or not you're willing to put your time in--to spend as much time as you can in His Word and in talking to Him.

When you have no fear in death- and are at peace knowing that Jesus Christ has saved you. Knowing that you can lean on Him and pray to Him and know that he hears you- That you trust him with all your heart. When you are not ashamed to shout it out "I love the Lord God!"
Seeking Him, studying his word- wanting to know more of Him. Because YOU LOVE HIM.
1 Peter 4:16
Yet if anyone suffers as a Christian, let him not be ashamed, but let him glorify God in that name.
Romans 1:16
For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ: for it is the power of God unto salvation to every one that believeth; to the Jew first, and also to the Greek.
-God knows your heart- He knows who are his "sheep" as the Bible says~

Its a daily process -- each day we must renew ourselves as we seek forgiveness for sins and shortcomings and we ask for God's Spirit so that we can cast off our old nature and embrace the new -- the process ends only when we go to live in an eternity of perfection with Him

to be totally honest, when i first got saved, i really didn't know for sure if anything happened. i mean there was no big light from heaven that came down and touched me. as i grew in the lord, { prayed on my knees every day sometimes several times, read his word and began to seek him in my life.} i could feel him working in my heart and life. some times you have to hang on and let him work in you. now years later i realize that by continuing to acknowledge him as my lord and savior, i was showing him that i had the faith to believe in him even though i really didn't have phisical evidence .the more you pray and humble yourself to him the more he works in your life. many months after i said the sinners prayer and accepted jesus into my heart and life, i had a oppertunity to see him work in me. 5 women, me included, from our church were called to the hospital in the night. a baby of one of the church members was in the hospital and the doctor had just told the parentsthat the childs lungs were full of fluid and the feared he would not make it through the night. we came to his room and gathered in prayer, annointed him and held hands and prayed with all our hearts for this tiny baby. the next morning the family called. they were crying they said the doctor took another xray and the babys lungs were perfectly normal, no trace of any fluid. the doctor was amazed and the baby was released later that day. just hang on the lord wants to use you.

If you have faith in Him, if you know in your heart (not just in your mind) that you love Him, then you have a real relationship with Christ. All you need to do is pusues a relationship through church prayer worship etc. and He will come to you.

To have a relationship with someone, you have to have intimate communications with that person. God does not want a distant relationship, HE wants to adopt us as HIS children but we have to give our permission to do this. Read the link below and it will tell how to make sure you do have this relationship

have you heard his word :Rom 10:17 So then faith cometh by hearing, and hearing by the word of God.
do you believe he is the Christ: Joh 8:24 I said therefore unto you, that ye shall die in your sins: for if ye believe not that I am he, ye shall die in your sins.
have you repented of your sins: Luk 13:3 I tell you, Nay: but, except ye repent, ye shall all likewise perish.
have you confessed Christ:Mat 10:32 Whosoever therefore shall confess me before men, him will I confess also before my Father which is in heaven.
have you been baptized for the remission of your sins:Act 2:38 Then Peter said unto them, Repent, and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins, and ye shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost.
and then if you have done this, live faithfully:Rev 2:10 ...... be thou faithful unto death, and I will give thee a crown of life.
this is really a simple plan layed out by god but most reject it. just study it against man made doctrines and you will see the simple truth of it and then you will have your answer.

When you have peace in your heart.
It doesn't mean life is easy.
It doesn't mean things go your way.
It doesn't mean you always understand the how or why of things going wrong in your life.
It does mean you are at peace.
