My Mother-in-law is an awesome woman, not all mother-in-laws are mean and nasty, the ones that are that are just mad because their son or daughter doesn't need them anymore, and they don't know how to handle it being the mother of a son, I'm sure that I will have a hard time letting go also, but as long as my son is happy and she treats him the right way then we want have any problems.

Oh God! My last mother in law was a nightmare. I couldn't do right for doing wrong on her wee son. I used to call her the out law!! Loved my father in law to pieces though, still ring for a chat now and again. x

We lived with my mother-in-law for a few years and she and I had a lot of trouble getting along. Now that we are on our own we really get along much better. She is very loving to our kids and always helps us out when we need it.

All mothers in law are an appropriate part for the married couple. My partners mum died when she was 38 and he was 11. He still suffers today and to see that is very sad. And for me to miss having his mother around is even sadder! "Mothers-in law" are just like your mum!, Cherish them. "(* *)".

Nice! I loooove my mother in law. She's always on my side when me and my husband argue, plus she's always offering to take care of our toddler so we can go out alone. How many wives can say that!

She is a sweet woman. I admire her because she raised 9 kids and her husband died when she was still pregnant with the youngest. All of her children turned out to be wonderful and caring and responsible adults. She is an amazing woman, and she has the respect of all of her children and their spouses.

Mine's alright. We're civil, no fighting or back stabbing. But she never cares when it's my kids' birthdays, yet she spoils her other grandkids. She wont even call mine to say happy birthday, but she'll drop $50 a piece on the others for birthdays. We live closer than her other grandkids, but we see her less.

She's Ok now, but when we were first married she liked nothing better than to stir up trouble. They do mellow over the years and we get on well now.
