What does it mean to "accept" Christ ?

If I just say, "I accept Christ as my savior", does that make me a child of God the moment I say it?

It's not a matter of saying it. It's a matter of what is in your heart. God knows the difference between mere words and true belief.

Can you watch the film The Passion of The Christ and know that he endured all of that just for you - as if you were the only person on this planet?

You are a child of our Heavenly Father whether or not you accept Christ as your Savior. You were born into this world, therefore = you are a child of God. No matter what.
There are probably lots of versions of "accepting Christ", most Christians believe once you accept Christ, you are "saved". I am LDS and we believe that although we must love and accept Jesus Christ, that alone does not warrant salvation. We will be judged by our works, our deeds, our hearts, our lives, our covenants and commitments made with God, all of it.

Call upon the name of the Lord as you pray this prayer;

Dear God, I know I have sinned by breaking Your laws, and I ask for Your forgiveness. I believe that Jesus died for my sins. I want to be born again and receive new life in Him. I will follow Jesus as my Lord and obey Him in all that I do. In the name of Jesus I pray. Amen

God knows your heart- He knows if you have a repentent heart or not. Do you believe what Jesus did for you on the cross? That he died and rose again? Do you understand you are a sinner and need His forgiveness? Do you trust Him and love him because of what He did? Do you want to repent of your sin?
