I think it's going to be a self fulfilling prophecy. No, not the return of Jesus or anything like that, but that the clash between religions will climax in a nuclear/bio/chemical apocalypse.

No. Ok, well, "yes" in the sense that you were talking about, a self-fulfilling prophecy. Humans in large numbers are sociologically stupid.

I do believe in the Second Coming of Christ. I believe that will happen one day, when we don't know. I read once that God has already set a certain amount of time before the "end of days" as you put it....we cannot speed it up or slow it down. The world is getting worse and worse, that is prophecy. We know it will be full of wickedness before the coming of Christ, but thankfully there will also be the most righteous spirits on the earth too. We believe that Heavenly Father has reserved the most spiritually strong and righteous spirits for the latter days, as we are living in now. That makes me think, I need to be righteous because I was saved for this time and also my children will be more righteous than me and their children and so on until the end.
We must all endure!

I see this as a very plausible scenario for the end of human existence. Especially since the Christians believe Jesus will come and either take them all to heaven or will one day come back and clean the environment and fix the world. There's no self-responsibility or accountability anymore.

This is not what is meant by the 'end of days'. It is rather the end of this system of things...right now the world is lying in the power of the wicked one, but soon that will end.

1 John 5:19: "We know we originate with God, but the whole world is lying in the [power of the] wicked one"

Psalms 37: 9-11: " For evildoers themselves will be cut off,
But those hoping in Jehovah are the ones that will possess the earth.

10 And just a little while longer, and the wicked one will be no more;
And you will certainly give attention to his place, and he will not be.

11 But the meek ones themselves will possess the earth,
And they will indeed find their exquisite delight in the abundance of peace."

It is certainly true that some of the more rabid evangelicals are licking their lips at the prospect. Of course, it all depends on Isreal going to war, and some of these people have very strong links in to the very top of US government.

One wonders what Bush's real motives were in the Gulf. Was he actually trying to drag Israel in? Is that why he has never used his power to reign in Israel? Does he actually want peace in the Middle East?

No. If u read he book of Revelations, u will see that it will be the return of Jesus Christ coming to save those whole believe in Him and followed His ways in life. I would be doing my best to not be one of those people on Earth who will be left on Earth to suffer. If u read that book u will see. It has nothing to do with religions clashing. Its all about the ones that really believed in Jesus Christ and the ressurection and Him coming to save us so we could be in Heaven with our Father. Religion doesn't really have a big role in thsi. Its all about Jesus comign down to Earth to judge a dn to let people have a final chance to come to Him.

When the religious ones kill each other off, the intelligent beings left can enjoy their lives.

ARROGANCE will indeed make it worse than it has to be,
as it is only a physical/spiritual change. NOT the End!
